No. QuietSea generates audio mathematically on-device — it has no need for microphone input and does not request that permission.
Yes. The DSP loop is light — roughly 1% CPU on a recent iPhone. We recommend plugging the phone in for very long sessions just like any other audio app.
Use headphones. The binaural effect depends on each ear hearing a slightly different tone — it does not work through a stereo speaker.
QuietSea fades out smoothly rather than cutting abruptly. The fade length is configurable in Settings — set it to 0 if you want an immediate stop.
On your device, in SwiftData. Nothing is sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes everything.
