Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
The short version
PitchGarden collects nothing. Audio is analysed on-device and immediately discarded.
No account, no cloud, no analytics, no third-party SDKs.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how the PitchGarden iOS app (the "App"), published by
Ilia Filiaev (the "Developer"), handles your information.
Data we collect
None. The App does not have user accounts, does not require sign-in, and does not
communicate with any server controlled by the Developer or any third party.
Data the App reads on your device
-
Microphone audio. While the tuner screen is open and the App is in
the foreground, the App reads short audio buffers from the microphone via
Apple's AVAudioEngine. Each buffer is fed through an on-device pitch detector
and immediately discarded — no audio is recorded, saved, transcribed, or transmitted.
-
Session history. Summary outcomes (interval correct/incorrect,
tuner minutes, dominant note) are stored on your device using SwiftData. Raw audio
is never persisted. This data never leaves your device.
Permissions the App may request
- Microphone — required only to use the tuner screen. The ear-training game does not need it.
Third parties
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
No data is shared with or sold to anyone.
Children's privacy
The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from
children or any other users.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is nothing to access,
export, or delete. You can remove all on-device data by deleting the App from your iPhone.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes
will be announced in the App release notes.
