Answers to common questions about Giftwise.
How do reminders work?
Giftwise schedules local notifications on your device — a week before, a few days before,
the day before, and on the day (you choose which, and the time, in Settings → Reminders).
Make sure notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Giftwise. Opening
the app from time to time keeps the schedule fresh; the Sunday "week ahead" summary is a
built-in safety net.
How do I import birthdays from Contacts?
On first launch, or anytime via the "+" menu (or Settings → Reminders → Import from
Contacts). Giftwise lists contacts that have a birthday set, you pick which to add, and
the copy happens once, on your device. People you already added show as "Already added".
How do Gift Ideas work?
Tap "Gift Ideas" on a person to get five suggestions based on their interests, age, your
relationship, the budget you pick — and the gifts you already gave, so ideas never repeat.
Everything is generated on your iPhone. On devices with Apple Intelligence the ideas are
enhanced by Apple's on-device models; on other devices Giftwise uses its built-in curated
catalog. Free includes 3 idea sets per month; Giftwise Pro makes them unlimited.
What's in Giftwise Pro?
Unlimited gift ideas, extra occasions (anniversaries, holidays, custom dates), gift
budgets and year-over-year history, Lock Screen widgets, custom reminder sounds and lead
times, Face ID lock, themes, and PDF export. Free keeps unlimited people, wishlists,
reminders, Contacts import, and Home Screen widgets — forever.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions →
Giftwise Pro. To restore a previous purchase on a new device, use Settings → About →
Restore Purchases inside the app.
Is my data backed up anywhere?
Your data lives on your device (and in your normal iPhone backup). Giftwise has no
accounts or cloud of its own — deleting the app deletes its data.
